Another Warning About Dive Connections In San Diego

A year ago, I posted a warning about Dive Connections, Inc. out of San Diego; it seems that they pulled anchor and were about to leave a couple of Divevets in the water.

Now another warning from a Divevets’ thread about DCI again!

It seems that a couple had reservations to dive the Coronado Islands, they paid, their trip was confirmed the day before, but when they showed up the boat had been canceled because they didn’t have enough divers.

Then, Dive Connections refused to refund their money as it was against their policy.

You can read the Divevets thread here.

By the way, I am still compiling my lobster liberation count from last season.

Southern California Dive Conditions Now On Twitter

It was announced on a post at Divevets.com that someone by the nickname of Pavlov0032 has started a Twitter group to relay Southern California Dive conditions in sort of real time.

    The link is here: http://twitter.com/socalFreediving

I know a lot of readers reference this blog for the condition reports, but unfortunately, I’m not out all the time.

If you want a constant stream – or annoyance – of dive conditions, feel free to join.

I’m still trying to figure out how to send text messages on my cellphone, so Twitter as a whole is not something that interests me right now.

    But what the hell?

    You may find it useful.

If you don’t know what twitter is, you can read all about it on the Wikipedia write up.
