Apparently, a Great White shark was hooked by an angler off the Manhattan Beach Pier, wiggled free and was so pissed, the shark bit a nearby swimmer as payback.

MANHATTAN BEACH (CBSLA.com) — A male swimmer was attacked by a Great White Shark Saturday off Manhattan Beach.

After being initially reported in critical condition, Steven Robles, 50, is now in stable condition at UCLA Harbor Medical Center, authorities said.

While lifeguards estimated the shark to be 7-feet long, LA County Sheriff’s flying overhead in Sheriff’s Helicopter 8 said they believed the creature was 10-feet long.

Robles was bitten just before 9:30 a.m. near the Manhattan Beach Pier, authorities said.

A video was captured, in which a man can seemingly be heard yelling at swimmers to get out of the water, following the attack. In the video, the man can be heard shouting, “It already bit someone!”

Lifeguards treated Robles for lacerations and puncture wounds on the beach.

Diver In Life And Death Struggle With Giant Octopus!

Last month, Warren Murray and David Malvestuto were making a SCUBA dive in 80 feet at Bluefish Cove in Carmel, California, when they came across a giant octopus that are usually found at depth.

Maybe the giant octopus swam to shallower waters in an attempt to find food?

Both started taking pictures of the giant sea creature when the giant octopus lunged towards David.

    Fighting off the giant octopus!
David was suddenly and deliberately attacked by the huge cephalopod mollusc.

In a scene that looked like an underwater tourist fending off an eight-armed crack addicted thug, David made a life and death struggle with the giant octopus as it tried to steal his camera.

    The deadly struggle begins!

Maybe the giant sea creature became afraid of the flashes, or maybe just became fatigued, but eventually the monster let go and retreated.

Luckily, David’s diving buddy Warren, captured the struggle on his camera.
