Logged Dive #219 – The Rock Quarry, Catalina Island

    The Rock Quarry, Catalina Island
Diving Off The Mr. C with the Divevets

    Solo diving

    In With: 2800 psi
    Out With: 1500 psi
    Max depth: 70 feet
    Waves: Insignificant, some chop
    Visibility: 20 feet
Water Temperature: Cool, maybe 56 degrees Fahrenheit
    Total Bottom Time: 35 minutes

After an hour surface interval, it was time for another dive.

I again was the first one off the boat.

I don’t remember the compass headings, but I went to the left, facing the island.

I swam along the rocks admiring the usual Catalina sea life.

I spotted a few lobsters, but didn’t see a point in grabbing for them.

On the way back, I passed by Shanon, Bob and Mirek who were looking in the lobster holes.

I swam around until I heard the boat, but lost it again.

I ended up surfacing fairly close.
