Logged Dive #139 – Safety Diver At An OW Class, Casino Point

    Casino Point, Catalina, CA

I dove as a safety diver with Instructor John’s Open Water class.*

    In With: 1900 psi
    Out With: 900 psi
Max depth: 50 feet or so
    Waves: Insignificant
    Visibility: 20 feet
Water Temperature: Seems like it’s getting colder
Total Bottom Time: About 30 minutes
*The names of students have been changed, probably because I don’t remember them to begin with.

Pedro decided to sit this one out, so this was the most enjoyable dive of the day.

John, his three newer students and myself went for another dive.

    We all followed John.

The “sight seer” did his thing and kept having to catch up to the group.

Nothing notable happened on this dive.

On the way back to San Pedro, it was sort of crowded.

We exchanged diving and work stories amongst us.

Out of seven students, I believe five received their C-cards today.

Pedro was told that he did not pass; John wants him to do another trip to Catalina.
