I’ve been a little congested and the ocean conditions have reportedly sucked in the last few days, so I’ve been out of the water for the last week.<\/p>\n
The Island Diver went out Saturday night and reported conditions were “worse than bad, but there were lobsters.”<\/p>\n
John and Jim went out last night, Sunday, for a one tank dive and reported calm and clear conditions.<\/p>\n
We boarded the mighty Zodiac and sped off to our secret spot.<\/p>\n
We were in the water around 9:30 PM.<\/p>\n
John had to do some minor repairs on his rig, but soon were all in the chilly but clear water submerging in to the 35 foot dark abyss in search of lobster.<\/p>\n
I headed toward the shore and got to 15 feet; I had not spotted a single lobster.<\/p>\n
I turned around and headed toward deeper waters.<\/p>\n
I ran across John and Jim, neither had anything in their bags.<\/p>\n
I knew the lobsters were there someplace, obviously not in the shallows.<\/p>\n
I spotted a few small lobsters around 25 feet and caught a legal one at 30 feet.<\/p>\n
I came across another one, but it was hiding under a rock.<\/p>\n
I grabbed for it, it shot out the back, turned and ran into me.<\/p>\n
It got away.<\/p>\n
I hung out in that area and scooped up two more, one was like grabbing a small football.<\/p>\n
I came across John and Jim again and then the anchor line.<\/p>\n
Knowing I was under the boat, I breathed down to 500 psi looking for more.<\/p>\n
I grabbed at one but it got away.<\/p>\n
I ended up catching three, John four, Jim two.<\/p>\n
