{"id":635,"date":"2007-06-17T09:47:13","date_gmt":"2007-06-17T16:47:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/?p=635"},"modified":"2008-02-05T18:40:36","modified_gmt":"2008-02-06T01:40:36","slug":"logged-dive-232-north-of-margate-diving-off-johns-zodiac","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/?p=635","title":{"rendered":"Logged Dive #232 &#8211; North Of Margate, Diving Off John&#8217;s Zodiac"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>North of Margate, Palos Verdes Estates, CA<\/p>\n<p>Dove off of John&#8217;s Zodiac<\/p>\n<p>Southern California Buddy Diving With John and Ron T.<\/p>\n<p>In With: 3000 psi<br \/>\nOut With: 1200 psi<br \/>\nMax depth: 50 feet<br \/>\nWaves: Choppy<br \/>\nVisibility: 15 feet<br \/>\nWater Temperature: Cold at the bottom<br \/>\nBottom Time: About 35 minutes<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/wp-content\/11830013yy.JPG\" alt=\"Me in the foreground looking like a macho diver.\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We boated just North of Margate; maybe a five minute journey around the kelp and anchored.<\/p>\n<p>I threw my BC overboard, jumped in and tried putting my jacket on.<\/p>\n<p>I kept getting tangled.<\/p>\n<p>After a few tries, I was ready to submerge.<\/p>\n<p>I had a hard time equalizing this dive and the last dive.<\/p>\n<p>It must have taken me five minutes to get down to 40 feet.<\/p>\n<p>I toured around looking at some very interesting reefs; they look like stairs or ruins from an ancient city that&#8217;s now underwater.<\/p>\n<p>I saw and chased after a huge White Sea bass &#8211; four feet long at least.<\/p>\n<p>John later said that he saw four or five of them circling around.<\/p>\n<p>I was getting cold, so I made it back to the boat and in.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/wp-content\/11830012yy.JPG\" alt=\"John hops in the zodiac after his dive.\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Five minutes later, John followed.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/wp-content\/11830011yy.JPG\" alt=\"Ron surfaces with some fresh sushi!\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Shortly after that, Ron surfaced with an Uni (sea urchin) and a scallop which he kindly shared with me.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/wp-content\/11830010yy.JPG\" alt=\"Ron cuts a scallop in half.\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Sushi, St. Pauli&#8217;s Girl and a bumpy ride back to the harbor topped this trip.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>North of Margate, Palos Verdes Estates, CA Dove off of John&#8217;s Zodiac Southern California Buddy Diving With John and Ron T.
