{"id":561,"date":"2006-07-30T20:33:59","date_gmt":"2006-07-31T03:33:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/?p=561"},"modified":"2008-02-15T07:18:59","modified_gmt":"2008-02-15T14:18:59","slug":"logged-dive-199-redondo-redondo-redondo-again","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/?p=561","title":{"rendered":"Logged Dive #199 &#8211; Redondo, Redondo, Redondo AGAIN!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Veteran&#8217;s Park, Redondo Beach, CA<\/p>\n<p>Dove with Instructor John&#8217;s Basic Open Water student Mohamed and ex-student Spike.<strong>*<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In With: 2100 psi<br \/>\nOut With: 1000 psi<br \/>\nMax depth: 60 feet<br \/>\nWaves:\u00a0 2-5 foot swells, mellow<br \/>\nVisibility: 15 feet and pretty clear<br \/>\nWater Temperature: Warm until the cold thermo cline at 50 feet or so.<br \/>\nTotal Bottom Time: About 20 minutes<br \/>\n<strong>*Note: Students names have been changed.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>John dove with Suzuki and her husband Arrogant Asshole;\u00a0 I took his student Mohammed and former student Spike on this dive.<\/p>\n<p>We all made it out with no problems and submerged to 15 feet or so.<\/p>\n<p>I lead the way &#8211; swam to the shelf and went down to 60 feet;\u00a0 we went North along the shelf.<\/p>\n<p>Spike gave me the universal &#8220;I am cold sign.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>There was sort of a thermo cline.<\/p>\n<p>We entertained ourselves by annoying the usual crabs, sand dollars and starfish.<\/p>\n<p>As I remember, Spike ran short of air first &#8211; at least he consumed more at depth.<\/p>\n<p>We swam back to the shore almost entirely under water &#8211; I could easily stand to take my fins off, but was a little too deep as I lost my footing a few times.<\/p>\n<p>Spike and Mohammed made it to shore with no problems.<\/p>\n<p>John and his group followed about 15 minutes after us.<\/p>\n<p>Suzuki passed the class;\u00a0 I THINK Mohamed may need another dive before graduating.<\/p>\n<p>John advised Suzuki and her Arrogant Asshole husband that she is certified and &#8221; to leave the camera at home, go boat diving and resort diving.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Don&#8217;t dive here and don&#8217;t go beach diving until you are comfortable.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>I wish her the best;\u00a0 I hope he doesn&#8217;t kill her.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Veteran&#8217;s Park, Redondo Beach, CA Dove with Instructor John&#8217;s Basic Open Water student Mohamed and ex-student Spike.* In With: 2100 psi Out With: 1000 psi Max depth: 60 feet Waves:\u00a0 2-5 foot swells, mellow Visibility: 15 feet and pretty clear Water Temperature: Warm until the cold thermo cline at 50 feet or so.
