Dove with Instructor John, his friend Jim, and John’s Open Water students* <\/strong>Tom and Jerry as part of my Dive Master course.<\/p>\n In With: 3000 psi These two students were several years older than me – at least I hope so because they looked old!<\/p>\n They had already been to Catalina, so this was their second set of dives.<\/p>\n The waves were so calm, I walked out and put my fins on.<\/p>\n John asked me if I thought one of his students was wearing a hood that was too tight; he was looking a bit cyanotic – purple.<\/p>\n I submerged; the rest followed with no problem.<\/p>\n John did the basic checkout skills with Tom and Jerry while Jim and I watched.<\/p>\n We then followed John down the shelf and back up and out with no problems. <\/p>\n I did lose sight of one of his students because of bad visibility towards shore, but he surfaced safely about 15 yards away from us as we were coming ashore.<\/p>\n The student that had a tight hood took it off – the color came back to his face.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Veteran’s Park, Redondo Beach, CA Dove with Instructor John, his friend Jim, and John’s Open Water students* Tom and Jerry as part of my Dive Master course.
