{"id":460,"date":"2005-10-22T20:07:45","date_gmt":"2005-10-23T03:07:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/?p=460"},"modified":"2008-01-26T09:48:52","modified_gmt":"2008-01-26T16:48:52","slug":"logged-dive-157-solo-diving-at-long-point","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/?p=460","title":{"rendered":"Logged Dive #157 &#8211; Solo Diving At Long Point"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Long Point, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA<br \/>\n(aka The Old Marineland)<\/p>\n<p>Solo Diving<\/p>\n<p>In With: 3000 psi<br \/>\nOut With: 200 psi<br \/>\nMax depth: 70 feet<br \/>\nWaves:  1-3 feet<br \/>\nVisibility: 15-20 feet<br \/>\nWater Temperature: Cool<br \/>\nTotal Bottom Time: 55 minutes<\/p>\n<p>I haven&#8217;t heard from Nick;  he&#8217;s suppose to be back in town this weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Oh well, I can go off &#8220;The Point&#8221; on this dive.  <\/p>\n<p>The waves were fairly calm and flat.  <\/p>\n<p>I took my game bag to look for lobsters.<\/p>\n<p>I went off The Point with no problem;  two other divers entered five minutes behind me.<\/p>\n<p>I proceeded North, it looked like the current was going South.<\/p>\n<p>Lots of fish this dive, schools of Mackerel, lots of Sheephead.  <\/p>\n<p>Very abundant sea life!  <\/p>\n<p>I saw a lobster within the first five minutes, but it took off once I approached.<\/p>\n<p>I spent the next 20 minutes looking for lobsters.<\/p>\n<p>I surfaced at 1000 psi and noticed that I was half way to the cove.<\/p>\n<p>I headed towards the cove, but it seemed as though the current changed midway because I had a hell of a time getting in.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Long Point, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA (aka The Old Marineland) Solo Diving In With: 3000 psi Out With: 200 psi Max depth: 70 feet Waves: 1-3 feet Visibility: 15-20 feet Water Temperature: Cool Total Bottom Time: 55 minutes I haven&#8217;t heard from Nick; he&#8217;s suppose to be back in town this weekend.
