\nWater Temperature: Pretty F’ing cold over the shelf; I think john said it was 55 degrees Fahrenheit
\nTotal Bottom Time: 20 minutes<\/p>\n
This was the student’s first time diving in the ocean. <\/p>\n
Apparently, he is a surfer and very comfortable in the water.<\/p>\n
We did the usual “walk out and feel the bottom” and “skin dive” routines before dawning our SCUBA gear.<\/p>\n
We submerged about 9:15 AM and went down to 60 feet – something that John usually doesn’t do on first dives. <\/p>\n
However, the student was really comfortable in the water and the visibility sucked until we went over the shelf.<\/p>\n
Out with no problem. <\/p>\n
