participants included Mike C. and his hot Polish girlfriend Kasia, Donna The Hot Biker Chick, Dan of Divevets and Carl.<\/p>\n<p>I had two goals to accomplish &#8211; collect 10 scallops to bring to a Super Bowl Party and dial in on my new GoPro camera.<\/p>\n<p>The guy I bought my GoPro from had lost the English instructions, so I still need to figure out how to work the camera.<\/p>\n<p>I asked a few GoPro users for advice, but they are used to the newer ones.<\/p>\n<p>Dan asked me, &#8220;Where did you find the very first GoPro to ever be made?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>EBay, or course!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/wp-content\/OILRIGFEBDSCF6822.jpg\" alt=\"Ships line up during a labor dispute\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-3555\" srcset=\"https:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/wp-content\/OILRIGFEBDSCF6822.jpg 400w, https:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/wp-content\/OILRIGFEBDSCF6822-300x168.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><br \/>\n<em>There is a labor dispute at the docks, so lines of ships anchor outside the harbor.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/wp-content\/OILRIGFEBDSCF6831.jpg\" alt=\"My ripped wetsuit\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-3557\" srcset=\"https:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/wp-content\/OILRIGFEBDSCF6831.jpg 400w, https:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/wp-content\/OILRIGFEBDSCF6831-300x168.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><br \/>\n<em>The rip in my wetsuit has gotten so terrifying, I was scared that I might get arrested for indecent exposure. <\/em><\/p>\n<p>I need to come up with some money to buy a new wetsuit and some boots that fit;  I have to shove socks in the heels so my fins won&#8217;t slip off.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/wp-content\/OILRIGFEBDSCF6826.jpg\" alt=\"Off the Eureka Oil Rigs\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-3556\" srcset=\"https:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/wp-content\/OILRIGFEBDSCF6826.jpg 400w, https:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/wp-content\/OILRIGFEBDSCF6826-300x168.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I was the second diver over.<\/p>\n<p>I swam to underneath the oil rig and turned my camera on.<\/p>\n<p>The LED display said &#8220;FUL.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>I came to find out later that &#8220;FUL&#8221; means the card is full &#8211; so, no pictures from this dive.<\/p>\n<p>I decided to just concentrate on getting scallops.<\/p>\n<p>I submerged.<\/p>\n<p>Logged SCUBA Dive #485<\/p>\n<p>SoCal Buddy Diving\/Solo Diving<\/p>\n<p>Eureka Oil Rig, California, USA<\/p>\n<p>In With: 2750 psi<br \/>\nOut With: 700 psi<br \/>\nMax depth: 124 feet<br \/>\nWaves: Some vertical chop<br \/>\nVisibility: 20-30 feet<br \/>\nWater Temperature: 58 degrees<br \/>\nAir Temperature: 72 degrees<br \/>\nTotal Bottom Time: 20 minutes, or so<\/p>\n<p>The Oil Rigs are sort of tricky to dive &#8211; Eureka is in 600 feet of water, so there is no bottom as a reference point.<\/p>\n<p>You need to be very careful of how deep you go, because it is very easy to get very deep, very quick. <\/p>\n<p>Also on this dive, there was a strange vertical swell &#8211; if you got too close above or below a beam, you could get thrown into it.<\/p>\n<p>They had scraped the columns recently, so all the scallops were below 85 feet. <\/p>\n<p>I quickly collected eight scallops to the delight of the surrounding fish.<\/p>\n<p>Visibility was pretty good;
