{"id":325,"date":"2005-05-07T21:28:16","date_gmt":"2005-05-08T04:28:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/?p=325"},"modified":"2008-01-20T14:56:55","modified_gmt":"2008-01-20T21:56:55","slug":"logged-dive-122-veterans-park-ca","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/?p=325","title":{"rendered":"Logged Dive #122 Veteran&#8217;s Park, CA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Veteran&#8217;s Park, Redondo Beach, CA<\/p>\n<p>Dove with Instructor John and his Open Water students Franklin and Eleanor.<strong>*<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In With: 3000 psi<br \/>\nOut With: 2000 psi<br \/>\nMax depth: 50 feet<br \/>\nWaves: 1-4 feet<br \/>\nVisibility: 5-10 feet, getting clearer<br \/>\nWater Temperature: About 60 degrees Fahrenheit and getting warmer.<br \/>\nTotal Bottom Time: 24 minutes<br \/>\n<strong>*Note: Student names have been changed.*<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Franklin kept floating up;  he had a tough time equalizing.<\/p>\n<p>Eleanor made it to the bottom at 20 feet;  I followed her.<\/p>\n<p>Franklin was still having problems for a while but eventually we all made it.<\/p>\n<p>John lead, the couple followed, and often held hands.<\/p>\n<p>Talk about buddy diving!<\/p>\n<p>I took up the rear.<\/p>\n<p>Franklin stopped at the lip of the shelf&#8230; he was still having problems equalizing.<\/p>\n<p>Eleanor of course stopped and waited;  John had to swim back and find us.<\/p>\n<p>Was this a boring dive?<\/p>\n<p>Not really.<\/p>\n<p>I would rather look at students diving than look at nothing &#8211; nothing is often what is seen here off of Redondo.<\/p>\n<p>There is a really hot diving instructor that I saw;  maybe she&#8217;s from Sea D Sea?<\/p>\n<p>Visibility was better on this dive than on my earlier two.<\/p>\n<p>I was first on shore and helped the couple onto the sand;  they were exhausted.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Veteran&#8217;s Park, Redondo Beach, CA Dove with Instructor John and his Open Water students Franklin and Eleanor.* In With: 3000 psi Out With: 2000 psi Max depth: 50 feet Waves: 1-4 feet Visibility: 5-10 feet, getting clearer Water Temperature: About 60 degrees Fahrenheit and getting warmer.
