{"id":321,"date":"2005-04-30T20:05:58","date_gmt":"2005-05-01T03:05:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/?p=321"},"modified":"2008-01-20T14:18:27","modified_gmt":"2008-01-20T21:18:27","slug":"logged-dive-116-casino-point-catalina-ca","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/?p=321","title":{"rendered":"Logged Dive #116, Casino Point, Catalina, CA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Casino Point, Catalina Island, California<\/p>\n<p>Dove as a safety diver with Instructor John and his Open Water students Stan The Macho Man, Tuasopo (a diver that never earned a C-card) and a married couple Bonnie and Clyde.<strong>* <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In With: 3000 psi<br \/>\nOut With: 1700 psi<br \/>\nMax depth: 60 feet<br \/>\nWaves: 1-2 feet<br \/>\nVisibility: 15 feet at best<br \/>\nWater Temperature: 60 degrees Fahrenheit<br \/>\nTotal Bottom Time: 22 minutes<strong><br \/>\n*Note: Student names have been changed.<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>His class seemed pretty &#8220;jazzed&#8221; from the last dive, especially Stan The Macho Man who high-fived John.<\/p>\n<p>I again took up the back of the class.<\/p>\n<p>Visibility sucked for Casino Point; &#8220;viz&#8221; has really sucked in general lately.<\/p>\n<p>According to John, if you can get all of your students under water on the first dive, it&#8217;s easier on the second one.<\/p>\n<p>Stan The Macho Man kept giving me the &#8220;thumbs up&#8221; sign whenever I would gesture and ask if he is OK.<\/p>\n<p>I kept thinking, &#8220;Why does he want to go up?
