(<a href=\"http:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/index.php?p=204\"> see dive #48 <\/a> ) came over and welcomed me.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m glad you could join us today,&#8221; Melvin said.<\/p>\n<p>The other guy was &#8220;Andy.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>It was around 9:20 AM.<\/p>\n<p>We quickly geared up and entered off The Point &#8211; Melvin, me and then Andy.<\/p>\n<p>The entrance was where John H and I entered last time.<\/p>\n<p>The water was cold.<\/p>\n<p>I saw four lobsters during the whole trip.<\/p>\n<p>I caught a short one, the big ones got away.<\/p>\n<p>It was a nice, slow, take a look at the scenery type of dive.<\/p>\n<p>The Point is very entertaining as far as interesting things to see &#8211; kelp, reefs, rocks, and man made encrusted junk that is home for many creatures.<\/p>\n<p>These guys go through air like Instructor John &#8211; SLOW!<\/p>\n<p>We slowly made it back to the cove; or &#8220;Pebble Beach&#8221; as Melvin calls it.<\/p>\n<p>I was looking for &#8220;Friendship Rock.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The whole cove has been rearranged by weeks of solid rain.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Friendship Rock&#8221; now has a few friends.<\/p>\n<p>We all made it to shore with no problems.<\/p>\n<p>Melvin and Andy seem to be experienced rock divers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Long Point, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA (aka Long Point) Dove off the Point with Melvin P. and Andy from the Sandeaters.
