{"id":301,"date":"2004-12-26T17:08:14","date_gmt":"2004-12-27T00:08:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/?p=301"},"modified":"2008-01-20T00:00:53","modified_gmt":"2008-01-20T07:00:53","slug":"logged-dive-99-long-point-ca","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/?p=301","title":{"rendered":"Logged Dive #99 Long Point, CA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Long Point, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA<br \/>\n(aka The Old Marineland)<\/p>\n<p>Solo Diving<\/p>\n<p>In With: 2900 psi<br \/>\nOut With: 1100 psi<br \/>\nMax depth: 40 feet<br \/>\nWaves:  1-3 feet<br \/>\nVisibility: 6-11 feet<br \/>\nWater Temperature: Cold<br \/>\nTotal Bottom Time: 35 minutes<\/p>\n<p>I had to go back to the lobster trap and find out who has been baiting it.<\/p>\n<p>I took my time getting to Long Point and arrived at 10:30 AM.<\/p>\n<p>I heard on the radio this morning that there was an 8.9 magnitude earthquake in Indonesia earlier.<\/p>\n<p>Crap!<\/p>\n<p>I couldn&#8217;t even imagine what must have taken place.<\/p>\n<p>Nobody was around except a couple &#8211; Tim and Reyna &#8211; whom I got to know afterwards.<\/p>\n<p>They gave me hot chocolate and warm water to shower with &#8211; nice people!<\/p>\n<p>They were on the December 5th boat.<\/p>\n<p>They enter from the cove and swim to the point and then swim back.<\/p>\n<p>The waves were about 2-3 feet, but were washing over 15-20 feet of the surf zone.<\/p>\n<p>I made it in and to the lobster trap after a few times surfacing for my bearings.<\/p>\n<p>There were no lobsters in the trap; but it was still baited.<\/p>\n<p>I putted around the area.<\/p>\n<p>I started making my way back; visibility was getting worse.<\/p>\n<p>Tim and Reyna were headed in ahead of me.<\/p>\n<p>There was a Lifeguard boat watching our exit; this was the first time I had seen them here.<\/p>\n<p>I got ashore with no problems.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Long Point, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA (aka The Old Marineland) Solo Diving In With: 2900 psi Out With: 1100 psi Max depth: 40 feet Waves: 1-3 feet Visibility: 6-11 feet Water Temperature: Cold Total Bottom Time: 35 minutes I had to go back to the lobster trap and find out who has been baiting it.
