{"id":297,"date":"2004-12-05T18:51:49","date_gmt":"2004-12-06T01:51:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/?p=297"},"modified":"2008-01-19T22:50:25","modified_gmt":"2008-01-20T05:50:25","slug":"the-bottomscratcher-the-dive-that-never-happened-part-ii","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/?p=297","title":{"rendered":"The Bottom Scratcher &#8211; The Dive That Never Happened Part II"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We were suppose to go to Catalina on the Bottom Scratcher.<\/p>\n<p>I picked up my buddy Nick at 5 AM.<\/p>\n<p>The first thing he said was, &#8220;You know we aren&#8217;t going diving today.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>It had been raining on and off.<\/p>\n<p>We boarded the boat and left the dock right on time, to the minute.<\/p>\n<p>Boats were getting tossed around inside the harbor.<\/p>\n<p>Waves crashed over the rocks on the breakwater.<\/p>\n<p>Okay,  as Bobby the deck hand says, &#8220;You get a free Harbor cruise and free breakfast; most people pay $25 for that.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/wp-content\/225.jpg\" alt=\"Drinking a \u201crefueling\u201d beer.\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/wp-content\/135.jpg\" alt=\"A bagpipe concert.\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Five beers, a stop at the diesel station and a bagpipe concert later, we were back.<\/p>\n<p>Same crew, same people as last time.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/wp-content\/322.jpg\" alt=\"Stopping for a draw bridge to boost beer sales.\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We ended up stopping for a draw bridge on the way back to boost beer sales.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We were suppose to go to Catalina on the Bottom Scratcher.
