{"id":263,"date":"2004-07-16T20:40:48","date_gmt":"2004-07-17T03:40:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/?p=263"},"modified":"2008-01-18T23:56:46","modified_gmt":"2008-01-19T06:56:46","slug":"logged-dive-64-redondo-beach-ca","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/?p=263","title":{"rendered":"Logged Dive #64 Redondo Beach, CA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Veteran&#8217;s Park<br \/>\nRedondo Beach, CA<\/p>\n<p>Solo Diving<\/p>\n<p>In with: 2800 psi<br \/>\nOut with: 800 psi<br \/>\nMaximum depth: 87 feet<br \/>\nWaves: 1-2 feet, negligible<br \/>\nVisibility: 20 feet\/crystal clear<br \/>\nWater Temperature: warm, but cold at 87 feet<br \/>\nTotal Bottom Time: 35 minutes<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s Friday and I&#8217;m taking vacation.<\/p>\n<p>I did a solo dive off of Veteran&#8217;s Park around 11:15 AM.<\/p>\n<p>It was a hot day and a lot of people were at the beach. <\/p>\n<p>The waves were <strong>so calm <\/strong>and the visibility was great.<\/p>\n<p>Maybe 20 feet, but it was crystal clear.<\/p>\n<p>Two other divers were around.  <\/p>\n<p>Some small kids asked about what was under the water.  <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Trash and small fish,&#8221; was my answer.<\/p>\n<p>I went down the shelf and followed it to 87 feet.  <\/p>\n<p>I turned around, and was still at 87 feet.  <\/p>\n<p>Something was wrong I thought.  <\/p>\n<p>I ascended about 10 feet and the needle on my gauge dropped to 75 feet instantly.  <\/p>\n<p>I guess it was stuck.<\/p>\n<p>I was a bit lonely down there.  <\/p>\n<p>What if I saw a shark?  <\/p>\n<p>Oh well, mind control is the key.<\/p>\n<p>Easy Out, no problems.  <\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s a lot more to see there when it&#8217;s clear.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Veteran&#8217;s Park Redondo Beach, CA Solo Diving In with: 2800 psi Out with: 800 psi Maximum depth: 87 feet Waves: 1-2 feet, negligible Visibility: 20 feet\/crystal clear Water Temperature: warm, but cold at 87 feet Total Bottom Time: 35 minutes It&#8217;s Friday and I&#8217;m taking vacation.
