{"id":2445,"date":"2012-10-21T23:41:28","date_gmt":"2012-10-22T06:41:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/?p=2445"},"modified":"2012-10-22T18:39:06","modified_gmt":"2012-10-23T01:39:06","slug":"sunday-services-diving-terranea-resort-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/?p=2445","title":{"rendered":"Sunday Services: Diving Terranea Resort"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I need to get back into the swing of things.<\/p>\n<p>I need to start diving at least a couple times a week, otherwise I see myself just getting older and withering away.<\/p>\n<p>The sun really didn&#8217;t come out this morning, so it was hard to get up, but I was determined.<\/p>\n<p>Not many regulars appeared &#8211; Dr. D (aka Dennis G.), Kenneth and a couple others, but mostly new faces; at least new faces to me.<\/p>\n<p>I accompanied Dr. D., with Pinky and New Dry Suit Chris to 120 reef.<\/p>\n<p>Logged SCUBA Dive #425<\/p>\n<p>Dove with Dr. D, and &#8220;Pinky&#8221; and New Dry Suit Chris<br \/>\nTerranea Resort. Rancho Palos Verdes, CA<\/p>\n<p>In With: 3000 psi<br \/>\nOut With: 900 psi<br \/>\nMax depth: 43 feet<br \/>\nWaves: Pretty flat, maybe two foot swells<br \/>\nVisibility: Up to 20 feet<br \/>\nWater Temperature: 64 degrees<br \/>\nAir Temperature: 65 degrees<br \/>\nTotal Bottom Time: About 39 minutes<\/p>\n<p>For whatever reason, I had a hard time keeping my footing on entry.<\/p>\n<p>Visibility sucked in the cove, but cleared to 20 feet of visibility further out; we could see the bottom.<\/p>\n<p>We swam to the rocky finger outside of pigeon shit cave and descended. <\/p>\n<p>We followed Dr. D. who lead us to places of 120 Reef that I forgot existed.  <\/p>\n<p>This was a pretty routine, uneventful dive.<\/p>\n<p>The other two divers apparently had only a dozen dives after certification, but did extremely well.<\/p>\n<p><img src='http:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/wp-content\/888373h.JPG' alt='Reef at Old Marineland.' \/><\/p>\n<p><img src='http:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/wp-content\/yuguyfouyfbrbc.JPG' alt='Diving Terranea Resort' \/><\/p>\n<p><img src='http:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/wp-content\/yyehehdnjxh.jpg' alt='yyehehdnjxh.jpg' \/><\/p>\n<p>A perfect dive with a perfect exit, too &#8211; no casualties!<\/p>\n<p><img src='http:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/wp-content\/teteydydhs.jpg' alt='DebriefingTerranea Resort' \/><\/p>\n<p>Debriefing was with Budweiser and ghetto grill cooked spicy sausages.<\/p>\n<p>I was talking to yet another Bob about the differences between Divets and the now defunct &#8220;Sandeaters&#8221; dive club.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Sandeaters would meet once a week at a different location, but nobody knew who was part of the club&#8230; different people would show up and some you would never see again&#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;&#8230;and as soon as the dive ended, people would get in their cars and leave;  you never got to debrief or get to know anybody.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>If it wasn&#8217;t for the post dive debriefing, I probably would just dive solo.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. D and Pinky were so macho, they did a second dive.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I need to get back into the swing of things.
