{"id":2331,"date":"2012-07-17T00:28:42","date_gmt":"2012-07-17T07:28:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/?p=2331"},"modified":"2012-09-15T17:18:15","modified_gmt":"2012-09-16T00:18:15","slug":"tour-of-the-ruins-of-butrint-albania","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/?p=2331","title":{"rendered":"Tour Of The Ruins Of Butrint, Albania"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>July 11, 2012*<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On the way to our third dive site, we were able to stop by the number one tourist attraction in Albania &#8211; The Ruins Of Butrint.<\/p>\n<p>Admission was 700 LEK for foreigners, 500 LEK for Albanian nationals.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Hey Idit, how did the guy know I wasn&#8217;t Albanian?&#8221; I asked.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;He knows, you don&#8217;t look Albanian,&#8221; Idit replied.<\/p>\n<p>The ancient city of Butrint has ruins as old as the 4th century B.C.<\/p>\n<p>Legend has it, that the city was formed by people fleeing the fall of the city of Troy.  <\/p>\n<p>As the brochure states, &#8220;On arrival, Priam&#8217;s son Helenus sacrificed an ox, which struggled ashore wounded and died on the beach.
