{"id":191,"date":"2004-05-07T19:47:40","date_gmt":"2004-05-08T02:47:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/?p=191"},"modified":"2007-12-30T09:44:46","modified_gmt":"2007-12-30T16:44:46","slug":"logged-dive-44","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/?p=191","title":{"rendered":"Logged Dive #44 Veteran&#8217;s Park, RB, CA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Veteran&#8217;s Park<br \/>\nRedondo Beach, CA<\/p>\n<p>Dove with Daniel M From Redondo Pier<\/p>\n<p>I met Daniel M at Long Point.<\/p>\n<p>It was low tide and the waves were sweeping into the rocks; not fun and probably dangerous.<\/p>\n<p>We drove to Redondo Beach where it was much calmer.<\/p>\n<p>Daniel told me that he packed his gear really quickly.<\/p>\n<p>I said, &#8220;that&#8217;s too bad, people usually forget stuff doing that.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Sure enough, he forgot his regulator.<\/p>\n<p>Luckily, I had mine and Ed&#8217;s with me.<\/p>\n<p>I lent him Ed&#8217;s because it&#8217;s the better rig.<\/p>\n<p>We entered the water about <time minute=\"40\" hour=\"8\"><\/time>8:40 AM and swam to where it is 30 feet; we descended.<\/p>\n<p>I followed him, slow and side by side &#8212; quite a change from diving with Ed and Nick.<\/p>\n<p>At 70 feet, he signaled to go back to 50 feet.<\/p>\n<p>We did, which is at the shelf.<\/p>\n<p>We swam North, where we saw a dollar bill lying on the ocean floor.<\/p>\n<p>I kept it because Daniel owed me $2.<\/p>\n<p>At 1400 psi, we started heading back South-East.<\/p>\n<p>At 15 feet, I started floating up.<\/p>\n<p>I signaled that I was going up; he signaled that he was going to keep going.<\/p>\n<p>I swam in, took my fins off in the water and walked to shore.<\/p>\n<p>Daniel was right behind me.<\/p>\n<p>The showers were off at the beach, but I was prepared with water because we were planning for Long Point.<\/p>\n<p>This is the first time I dove with Daniel; we had no problems in the water.<\/p>\n<p>In with: 2800 psi<br \/>\nOut with: 1000 psi<br \/>\nMax depth: 70 feet<br \/>\nWaves: 2 feet<br \/>\nVisibility: 20 feet\/ clear.
