The weather here has been less than ideal for diving; it rained heavily for several days last week and, of course, the bacteria in the run off is always a concern after a storm.<\/p>\n

I have also been sick for the last week with a winter cold – coughing and congestion do not go well with diving.<\/p>\n

However, that does not mean I can’t fill my next entry with some funny diving related items that I have seen over the last week.<\/p>\n

The first feature was pointed out to me by the Mayor of Old Marineland, Max Bottomtime.<\/a> <\/p>\n

MISSING MAINE WIFE<\/strong><\/p>\n

The day after his wife disappeared in a kayaking accident off the coast of Maine, a man answered his door to find two grim-faced State Troopers. <\/p>\n

“We know it’s late, sir, but we have some information about your wife,” said one of the Troopers.<\/p>\n

“Tell me! Did you find her!?” the husband shouted.<\/p>\n

The Troopers looked at each other. <\/p>\n

One said, “We have some bad news, some good news, and some really great news. Which do you want to hear first?” <\/p>\n

Fearing the worst, the ashen husband said “Give me the bad news first.”<\/p>\n

The second Trooper said, “I’m sorry to tell you, sir, but this morning we found your wife’s body in the bay.” <\/p>\n

“Oh my God!” exclaimed the husband.<\/p>\n

Swallowing hard, he asked, “What’s the good news?” <\/p>\n

The Trooper continued, “When we pulled her up, she had 6 twenty-five pound snow crabs and 12 good-size lobsters clinging to her.” <\/p>\n

Stunned, the husband demanded, “If that’s the good news, what’s the great news???”<\/p>\n
