{"id":164,"date":"2004-04-10T20:19:52","date_gmt":"2004-04-11T03:19:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/dev\/?p=164"},"modified":"2007-12-29T21:09:24","modified_gmt":"2007-12-30T04:09:24","slug":"logged-dive-38","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/?p=164","title":{"rendered":"Logged Dive #38 Long Point, CA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Long Point, CA<br \/>\n(aka The Old Marineland)<\/p>\n<p>I met Nick at noon, thinking it was high tide.<\/p>\n<p>It was actually low tide.<\/p>\n<p>We geared up and checked The Point.<\/p>\n<p>It was too rough &#8212; the waves crashed against the rocks.<\/p>\n<p>We walked back to the cove.<\/p>\n<p>Daniel M. from Redondo pier walked down to try and find us.<\/p>\n<p>We went to the far kelp bed.<\/p>\n<p>I had my camera, Nick was a spectator.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/dev\/wp-content\/119.jpg\" alt=\"Sheephead at Long Point\" \/><\/p>\n<p>There was one reef that had two big sheephead.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/dev\/wp-content\/214.jpg\" alt=\"Nick annoys sea life.\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Nick practiced navigation and annoying sea life.<\/p>\n<p>We surfaced 45 minutes after going down in the exact same spot.<\/p>\n<p>It was a nice dive; Nick was impressed with the scenery.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re going back tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p>In with: 3000 psi<br \/>\nOut with: 700 psi<br \/>\nMax depth: 40 feet +\/-<br \/>\nWaves: 3 feet, but sparse<br \/>\nWater temperature: I guess 58 degrees F<br \/>\nVisibility: 15 feet<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Long Point, CA (aka The Old Marineland) I met Nick at noon, thinking it was high tide.
