{"id":1491,"date":"2009-01-04T22:30:32","date_gmt":"2009-01-05T05:30:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/?p=1491"},"modified":"2009-01-05T06:51:43","modified_gmt":"2009-01-05T13:51:43","slug":"old-marineland-conditions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/?p=1491","title":{"rendered":"Old Marineland Conditions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Still getting over a cold, I again stayed dry today.<\/p>\n<p>Conditions at Old Marineland (aka Terranea Resort, Long Point) looked a little less desirable than New Year&#8217;s Day, but still decent.<\/p>\n<p>Reverend Al and most of the hard core regulars were in attendance. <\/p>\n<p><img src='http:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/wp-content\/pict0625jan04.jpg' alt='The divers enter the water.' \/><\/p>\n<p>The divers had an easy entrance, with only minor swell chop at the shore.<\/p>\n<p><img src='http:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/wp-content\/pict0632jan04.jpg' alt='Me standing shore side.' \/><\/p>\n<p>Somehow, it&#8217;s more exciting to be under the water, and not standing on shore.<\/p>\n<p><img src='http:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/wp-content\/pict0633jan04.jpg' alt='A diver exits the cove.' \/><\/p>\n<p>After about an hour, the divers headed in &#8211; all to a safe exit.<\/p>\n<p>Reports were, &#8220;Not as good as New Year&#8217;s Day, but still 10 to 15 feet and pretty clear;  temperature was about 54 degrees.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img src='http:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/wp-content\/pict0637jan04.jpg' alt='Lomita Sheriffs Patrol Terranea Resort' \/><\/p>\n<p>Interesting to note, Terranea Resort has hired the Lomita Sheriffs to patrol the perimeter and keep the divers and fishermen exclusively on the public access spots. <\/p>\n<p>So, if you&#8217;re thinking about taking the short cut to The Point, you may be dealing with the actual Sheriffs, and not Barney Fife Security.<\/p>\n<p><img src='http:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/wp-content\/pict0638jan04.jpg' alt='Debriefing.' \/><\/p>\n<p>Debriefing looked like it had the potential to be promising, but I had to leave early to try and get some things accomplished.<\/p>\n<p>I believe I&#8217;m good to get back in the water and hopefully, I can start stocking up on the bugs again before the season ends.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Still getting over a cold, I again stayed dry today.
