{"id":1319,"date":"2008-06-14T21:31:25","date_gmt":"2008-06-15T04:31:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/?p=1319"},"modified":"2008-06-15T08:44:32","modified_gmt":"2008-06-15T15:44:32","slug":"logged-scuba-dive-287-veterans-park-redondo-beach-ca","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/?p=1319","title":{"rendered":"Logged SCUBA Dive #287 &#8211; Veteran&#8217;s Park, Redondo Beach, CA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Veteran&#8217;s Park, Redondo Beach, California<\/p>\n<p>Diving with buddy &#8220;Rafael&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In With: 2900 psi<br \/>\nOut With: 1200 psi<br \/>\nMax depth: 70 feet<br \/>\nWaves: Pretty flat<br \/>\nVisibility: 8-15 feet<br \/>\nWater Temperature: 50 degrees Fahrenheit in the canyon, warmer above<br \/>\nTotal Bottom Time: 32 minutes<\/p>\n<p>I haven&#8217;t been diving for two weeks and wanted to make sure I still remembered how.<\/p>\n<p>I got to the parking lot and hooked up with &#8220;Rafael&#8221; who was looking for a buddy.<\/p>\n<p>After a quick briefing of the dive plan and how each other&#8217;s gear was rigged, we entered the water and met outside the surf zone.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/wp-content\/pict0077ioio.jpg\" alt=\"Rafael and Me off of Vet\u2019s Park.\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Rafael and Me off of Redondo Beach.<\/p>\n<p>We descended to 20 feet and swam West, determined to find the &#8220;monument.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Going over the shelf at 35 feet was a tremendous thermocline &#8211; the temperature went from 62 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.<\/p>\n<p>We went to 60 feet and swam South in search of the &#8220;monument.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/wp-content\/pict0078ioio.jpg\" title=\"A sea snail?
