{"id":1135,"date":"2008-03-12T23:33:16","date_gmt":"2008-03-13T06:33:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/?p=1135"},"modified":"2008-03-13T07:46:41","modified_gmt":"2008-03-13T14:46:41","slug":"the-dive-that-would-have-happened-if-the-boat-started","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/?p=1135","title":{"rendered":"The Dive That Would Have Happened If The Boat Started"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Instructor John, Ron T and I met at 8 PM at King Harbor to go lobster hunting on SCUBA.<\/p>\n<p>Our biggest problem of the night was that his engine wouldn&#8217;t start&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/psychosolodiver.com\/wp-content\/broken_zodiac.jpg\" alt=\"John looks at the engine while Ron supervises.\" \/><\/p>\n<p>John looks at the engine while Ron supervises.<\/p>\n<p>We believe it was a problem with the starter, but no matter how hard we hit the thing, it just wouldn&#8217;t start.<\/p>\n<p>Better at the dock than at sea;  it would have been a long paddle back from where we usually go.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m on the Island Diver Friday night; we may go out again Sunday if John can repair the engine by then.<\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s suppose to be large swells coming in tomorrow morning and over the weekend, so there&#8217;s a slight possibility that this may be it for the season.<\/p>\n<p>Lobster season ends March 20 at midnight &#8211; Tuesday night \/ Wednesday morning.<\/p>\n<p>We cracked open the beer and planned our season&#8217;s end strategy.<\/p>\n<p>A hoop netter confirmed that the lobsters are still in about 85 feet.<\/p>\n<p>I stopped by Vet&#8217;s Park and drank another beer with the Divevets.<\/p>\n<p>There was some really hot chick reporter from the <em>Daily Breeze<\/em> that was hanging out with them.<\/p>\n<p>She apparently is going to do a story on local diving.<\/p>\n<p>My freezer of bugs is now in ration mode until the end of the season.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Instructor John, Ron T and I met at 8 PM at King Harbor to go lobster hunting on SCUBA.
